BEAUTY - Kiehl's Centella Skin-Calming Facial Cleanser

Exams are over. Jazz music is playing. Coffee machine is working. Fingers are typing. I am human again.

After having spent way too much money on cosmetics that don't work for sh**, I thought is was time to spend even more money on cosmetics. I know some Kiehl's products can be a little expensive but it's just one of the only skincare brands I trust. And let's be real, if you know that there are face creams out there that cost $500, Kiehl's is NOT expensive. The service is on point, the packaging is beautiful and the products are great.

I was looking for a facial cleanser that would get rid of my oily skin and acne. The woman in my Kiehl's shop, recommended to simply try out a cleanser that would balance out and calm my skin, instead of going for a product that's meant to get rid of acne. She told me that if I would start using an anti-acne cleanser my skin would get too dry, and I would have to start using a nourishing cream that'll make my skin oily again and it would just become an endless cycle of dry and oily skin. 

So, I can't say that this product totally got rid of my spots and redness, but calming it is for sure! I've tried out a few Bodyshop and Lush products but they just made my skin look worse! I would get random white "toothpaste-looking" patches on my skin and it was just not looking good! 

After washing my face with the Centella Skin-Calming Facial Cleanser, my skin feels very clean, calm and 'safe'. I just know that this product will never break me out!

I would highly recommend this product to people that are scared to use any more skincare cosmetics because they just seem to make it worse. I would repurchase this product if I wouldn't know for sure that there is definitely something cheaper out there that works just as great.

10 things to do in Ho Chi Minh City

Tonight I'll be taking my plane back home. Don't get me wrong, I do feel very sad about leaving, but I'm so excited and motivated for all the things that are to come. There are two sorts of people, you have people who get depressed during their last week on holiday because they don't want to go back to school or work, and there are people (like me) who take their experiences home and feel inspired for the upcoming year. Before ending my story about Vietnam, I wanted to share a list with you guys of 10 things you have to do if you ever visit Ho Chi Minh, which you should.

1. Go eat streetfood for less than a euro and don't take it out but take a seat and feel like you're having lunch in someones living room.

2. Go to Bến Thành market for souvenir shopping and the most amazing springrolls.

3. Go to L'Usine for a great meal and shopping. Don't forget to try out their cupcakes. You can also get them at their cupcake shop called Sweet + Sour.

4. Go on a Vespa tour to the Mekong Delta with Vietnam Vespa Adventures.

5. Have late breakfast / lunch / dinner at The Deck. Slightly more on the expensive side, but the view is totally worth it!

6. Visit the Zoo. You will not regret it!

7. Drink Cafe sue da, all day, every day.

8. Get the green tea frappuccino at Starbucks. (We can't get them them in Belgium)

9. Try out all streetfood you come across. My favorites were: Cơm tấm, Bánh bao, Spring rolls, coconut rolls, anything that includes bananas, Lotus porridge.

10. Visit Chợ Lớn to go lantern, pen, pencil, paper and toy shopping.

Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City - 19/08/14

From all places in Ho Chi Minh City, L'Usine is the nicest but the least Vietnamese one. Apart from the staff there is nothing Vietnamese to it. It is a great concept store where you can get Comme des Garçon wallets, Karen Walker bags and so much more! I haven't bought anything in the shopping department, but don't get me started on the restaurant. 

There are two L'Usines in Ho Chi Minh. It is hard to believe that there isn't another one anywhere else than in Vietnam. I highly recommend you to go to L'Usine if you ever visit this crazy city. Although the street food is such a high quality and so cheap, L'Usine is worth splurging on.

After my super healthy fruit plate and fresh apple juice, I went for a donut. We don't have a Dunkin' Donuts in Belgium so don't judge me.

Feeling Grey...

Heading back to Belgium after spending three weeks of laying in the sun, eating pizza, drinking wine, sipping cocktails, ordering ice cream, swimming in the pool, going to restaurants, is tough. I used a black and white filter on the pictures since I liked the idea of matching pictures to the way I was feeling. I sound like such a drama queen, but I guess I am. 

The only reason I got in that car on the 26th of july, was because I knew that august would be at least as exciting as July. How so? Because, let me tell you, the time has come where I am finally going on my long awaited trip to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. It has been a year of waking op at 5am to head to shitty jobs, not being able to shop while your friends can, going to parties but not drinking a thing because it costs too much. But now, the hard working is finally going to pay off. 

Why Ho Chi Minh? The two boys, with who I come along the best, apart from my dad maybe, have moved to Vietnam. Instead of crying in a corner I decided to save up money so I could travel to Vietnam a year later. It is a whole new experience and I'll be taking my laptop along to blog the hell out of those three weeks of amazingness.
